MPP Fullerton Launches Buy Local Campaign

Merrilee Fullerton is active promoting local businesses

This month Kanata-Carleton MPP Merrilee Fullerton announced an extension of her public awareness campaign to encourage residents and businesses to buy locally.

Through the months of November and December, each year our MPP actively promotes “Shop Local” in Kanata and West Carleton communities. Merrilee Fullerton explains that she will be building on this idea with a “Buy Local” awareness campaign through 2020. For our MPP, she sees buying local as imperative in boosting our local economy as the Province eases business restrictions in response to the health and safety concerns of COVID-19.

In the media, Merrilee Fullerton is quoted: “I call on Ottawa residents, as they make their purchases, to think about supporting our local business community. Buy at your neighbourhood retailer and small business, and consider Ottawa’s many medium- and larger-sized businesses for your manufactured goods and contract services.”
